The 2021 vintage will be remembered as a season of contrasts: late frost, heavy rainfall, green harvest — but also a well-prepared cellar and a committed team determined to make the most of it.

A Season Shaped by Weather Challenges

Spring 2021 began with a late frost episode that partially affected the earliest buds. The following weeks brought above-average rainfall, increasing disease pressure and requiring heightened vigilance in the rows.

Faced with these conditions, the team quickly decided on targeted green harvesting to rebalance the crop load and concentrate nutrients in the retained bunches. A difficult but necessary decision to ensure the final quality of the vintage.

Cellar Ready, Expert Guidance on Hand

On the cellar side, everything was in order. The stainless steel vats, temperature control systems and winemaking equipment had been serviced in advance, allowing the grapes to be received in the best possible conditions from the very first loads of the harvest.

The guidance of Claude Serra, the estate's consulting oenologist, accompanied every winemaking decision: tank entry dates, fermentation temperatures, maceration times. A vintage that, despite its challenges, yielded wines of great sincerity.
